DSH - Manx,  silver tabby,  Male neutered,  Young Adult
STRAY:
Riley arrived 10/14/2017 as a transfer from another rescue group. He is a handsome, large kitty with just a nub of a tail. He fits right in with the other kitties in our open cat room. Riley is the friendly, social sort of guy.
[Picture] 10/14/2017   [17-PP092C]   Leonard
DSH,  black/white tuxedo,  Male neutered,  6 weeks
OWNER TURN IN: Born 08/28/2017, a litter of four darling black and white kitties were born to Beverly, another beautiful affectionate, black and white, tuxedo cat. Leonard is the biggest of the litter, and he has done all the 'firsts'... all that you would expect a kitten to learn. Howard (another of the litter) is not just solid black. on his neck, it looks like it might turn a little white. he has those "ghost stripes" like mama Beverly, that appear brown in bright sunlight, but he looks just black in dimmer light. Leonard has them too. It'll be interesting to see how their coats turn out as adults. They all are weaned and litter box trained. They all are sweet and cuddly. This family is in foster care, so get your application in and arrange a time to meet them.

Tikki-Tavi was surrendered by Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control, originally found 09/23/2017. This poor little kitty is scared to be in the shelter. Tikki was living at an abandoned house along with many, many other cats (estimated at 30 to 40).
[Picture] 10/10/2017   [17-PP096C]   Phoenix
DSH,  gray/white,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
STRAY:
Phoenix arrived on 10/10/2017 after being found as a stray on 10/01/2017 by Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control. She is not the friendliest cat right now, but she is understandable scared to be in a new situation. She certainly is beautiful though.

DSH,  pewter tabby,  Female,  10 weeks
OWNER TURN IN: Bear and Nigella are siblings although they were born 5 days apart. Nigella, the tabby, was born second on ~July 23, 2017. She is a spunky little imp with gorgeous expressive eyes. She is tiny but with a big loving heart. Nigella is a flower just waiting to bloom where she is planted. These kittens are in foster care and are doing great. They have been bottle fed since day one because their mother would have nothing to do with them. They will be available after they are spayed so get your applications in soon. If you would like to meet them, please call the shelter for an appointment (406-563-7464).

[Picture] 9/26/2017   [17-PP086C]   Chester
DSH,  silver tabby,  Male,  6-8 wks.
STRAY: Anaconda
Chester was one of four kittens surrendered to us, transferred to Pintler Pets by Anaconda-Deer Lodge animal control. Chester is coming along nicely, learning to be a loving and loved kitty. He is still the most scared of the four, however. He just needs a little more time, love and tenderness (one of my favorite Michael Bolton songs as I sit and write bios). These kittens are in foster care so call the shelter to arrange a time to meet them (406-563-7464).
[Picture] 9/23/2017   [17-PP081C]   Punkin
DMH - tabby,  creamy buff,  Male neutered,  8-10 wks.
STRAY: 300 block of Pine Street, Anaconda
Punkin, Dew, and Autumn were all "owner surrenders" or "strays" and arrived wild as March hares. They have been in foster care and have improved greatly. They love to entertain themselves by playing and eating, of course. These pudgy little kitties are happy and healthy. Punkin is the most advanced of the three as far as not being scared of us 'hoomans'. He is so sweet and is just the handsomest.
[Picture] 9/23/2017   [17-PP083C]   Autumn
DLH - tortoiseshell,  blue/cream,  Female spayed,  8-10 wks.
STRAY: 300 block of Pine Street, Anaconda
Punkin, Dew, and Autumn were all "owner surrenders" but arrived wild as March hares. They have been in foster care and have improved greatly. They love to entertain themselves by playing and eating of course. These pudgy little kitties are happy and healthy. Autumn is still a little bit hissy and needs someone to smother her with kisses and to tell her she has nothing to fear.
[Picture] 9/16/2017   [17-PP080C]   Lilly
DLH - bicolor,  gray/white,  Female spayed,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Lilly is looking a little cranky in this photo because her folks moved and she didn't get to go along. She prefers to be the queen of her own house. She is a gorgeous long haired kitty -- not rambunctious like a kitten but sedate and regal, like the queen she is.
[Picture] 9/16/2017   [17-PP079C]   Elvis
DSH,  white/orange,  Male neutered,  8-9 mos.
STRAY: Anaconda
Elvis was a stray kitty transferred to Pintler Pets by Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control. He may be related to Feather, another of our adoptable kitties. He is a fun, and active kitty. OK, so he is a very active and cute kitten. He is sure to liven up your life and your kitchen! He's a great little guy.
[Picture] 9/8/2017   [17-PP076C]   Sheldon
DSH - Russian Blue X,  blue gray,  Male neutered,  5-6 yrs.
ABANDONED:
Sheldon was left behind when his owner moved. Bummer, Sheldon! Wait. We will just have to find you a new and better home. Yes, that's the ticket! Everyone loves this big, mellow handsome Russian Blue, don't they?
[Picture] 8/25/2017   [17-PP068C]   Ariel
DSH - tabby,  gray tabby,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
STRAY: Georgetown Lake, MT
Ariel and her four kittens were found at Georgetown Lake, west of Anaconda. Ariel is tame and sweet, and is a petite little imp. She is so small and young it is hard to believe she is a mother of 4 strapping kittens. Her kittens are a bit hissy and need some TLC.
[Picture] 8/25/2017   [17-PP073C]   Boone
DSH,  solid black,  Male neutered,  6 Mo
OWNER TURN IN: Boone was owner surrendered because his owner had too many cats. Boone has been in foster care and so is used to being around other cats and dogs. He has a sleek black coat and big, beautiful expressive eyes. He and his siblings have actually been in foster care for a while, but we are listing Boone at the top of the list... well, just to give him the best chance to be noticed. You know, it not easy being green when you are a frog or black when you're a cat. "It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things. And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water- or stars in the sky." (Thank you Jim Henson!)
[Picture] 8/13/2017   [17-PP067C]   Feather
DSH - bicolor,  white/buff,  Female spayed,  6 Mo
STRAY:
Feather was a transfer from another rescue group. She was a stray who was never reclaimed. She has been in foster care and is doing well here in Anaconda. She is used to being around dogs and other cats. She is a petite little thing with beautiful coloring. She will be altered before adoption and will be microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed.
[Picture] 8/6/2017   [17-PP075C]   Bumble
DMH - solid,  white,  Male neutered,  Adult
STRAY:
Bumble is a shy, handsome type of guy who likes to watch things going on from his perch on top of the kennel. Perhaps if he had a home of his own his personality would bloom. For those who like white kitties, he is a keeper.
[Picture] 8/5/2017   [17-PP065C]   Newbie
DSH,  brown tabby,  Male,  1 Yr
STRAY:
Newbie arrived as a feral kitty. He has a few scars from being on the streets, but is basically a peace-loving cat.
[Picture] 7/1/2017   [17-PP053C]   Munchers
DSH - tortoiseshell,  black/cream,  Female,  Adult
STRAY: 100 block of Locust Street, Anaconda
Munchers is a sweet cat rescued for an overcrowded situation. This little girl needs a safe and secure place to call home. She came from a house where they were tearing down a garage and many cats were living there. She has a kink in her tail and is missing part of an ear, but is a beauty in cat lovers' eyes.
[Picture] 7/1/2017   [17-PP054C]   Meow Meow
DSH,  light orange/white tabby,  Male neutered,  Young Adult
STRAY: 600 block Chestnut Street, Anaconda
Arrived as a transfer on 07/01/2017 after being picked up as a stray by animal control on 06/23/2017, this is one outgoing, cool kitty. He loves to play and is very friendly. He is a big boy, was already neutered upon arrival, and is in good shape. Someone cared for him in the past. He is unperturbed by the other cats in the shelter, and may be OK with dogs.

DSH,  orange tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: 3500 Highway 1 West, Anaconda
Jinx was found as a stray or abandoned at 3500 Highway 1 West, Anaconda. She is a sweet loving kitty who is no problem at all. It looks as if she hasn't had the easiest of lives. Hopefully, the next of her 9 lives treats her much better.
[Picture] 6/21/2017   [17-PP051C]   Reggie
DSH - bicolor,  white/brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
STRAY: 1300 Sunnyside, Anaconda
Little Reggie was found as a stray on 06/17/2017 and was transferred to Pintler Pets on 06/21/2017. Update: We thought Reggie was a male until she had two kittens. The kittens are in foster care and are thriving; they will be available at a later date.
[Picture] 6/21/2017   [17-PP049C]   Audi
DSH,  pure white/blue eyes,  Female spayed,  6-7 wks.
OWNER TURN IN: Audi was an owner surrender from a home in Garrison. Audi's eyes will most probably stay the beautiful blue that they are. We think she may be part-Siamese because her sister looks part-Siamese. They are both spayed, and have had their first vaccinations. They will be micro-chipped and have second vaccinations as a part of their adoption fee. Sweet little thing is in foster care, as are most of our tiny kittens, so fill out an application and call the shelter for a time to see the kittens.
[Picture] 6/19/2017   [17-PP050C]   Nemo
DSH,  brown tabby/white,  Male neutered,  10 Mo
OWNER TURN IN: Nemo arrived as an owner surrender because his owner had no home and no job. Nemo is a love of a cat. He is happy and outgoing, and glad to be alive. He gets along with the other cats at the shelter (if they like him) and loves human interaction. He has not been around dogs but that doesn't mean he wouldn't adapt. Fabulous Nemo looks forward to being in a home of his own with lots of attention and loving.
[Picture] 5/25/2017   [17-PP056C]   Spirit
DSH,  black with gray highlights,  Male,  4 months
STRAY:
Spirit is one of four kittens who arrived as strays. He is mostly black with a gray, skunk-like stripe down his back. He is so cute and gets along with everyone. He is in foster care so call the shelter for a time to meet him.
[Picture] 5/25/2017   [17-PP055C]   Scooter
DSH - Tortoiseshell,  orange/black,  Female spayed,  4 months
STRAY:
Scooter arrived as a stray. She and her littermates are in foster care, and are doing very well. Scooter has a tortie face but tiger stripes on her body. She is mostly an orange tint, with a black smudge on her nose.
[Picture] 5/23/2017   [17-PP037C]   Tux
DLH/Tuxedo,  black/white,  Male neutered,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Tux is with us because his Mom and Dad are elderly and can't take care of him anymore. He tends to stay in an open kennel where he feels safe (at least until he gets used to the place). He comes out to eat and to got potty in a litter box. If you need a sweet companion and lap warmer, then Tux is your guy.
[Picture] 5/15/2017   [17-PP039C]   Reese
DMH - bicolor,  brown tabby/white,  Female spayed,  9 yrs.
STRAY:
Reese arrived and won the dubious award of "most matted kitty". Her mats were so tight you could barely get a blade under them. She has now been professionally groomed and is so-o--o much happier and feeling wonderful. She is a petite kitty, barely more than a whisper and very unobtrusive.
[Picture] 5/13/2017   [17-PP032C]   Aspen
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: Thriftway - west side of Anaconda
Aspen was found as a stray but is healthy and clean. She is not fond of all the other roommates she has here at the shelter but she will just have to share. She would probably prefer to be an only kitty in a home.
[Picture] 5/6/2017   [17-PP038C]   Duchess
DSH,  gray/cream tortoiseshell,  Female spayed,  6 yrs.
ABANDONED:
Duchess came to us with a varied background. It sounds like she was abandoned, and it looks like she has not had an easy life. She has deformed ears and a partial tail. Aside from that, she has beautiful blue eyes and lovely colors in her coat. She may have some Siamese in her background as well as being a tortie.
[Picture] 5/4/2017   [17-PP052C]   Don
DSH - bicolor,  brown tabby/white,  Male neutered,  Young Adult
STRAY: Lost Creek Road, Anaconda
Don was found as a stray but he is such a nice cat he may have just wandered a little too far from his home. He is neat and clean, was already neutered when found, and has the cutest little smudge on his white nose.
[Picture] 5/2/2017   [17-PP031C]   Tabby
DSH,  black/white,  Male neutered,  Adult
STRAY: transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control

[Picture] 4/29/2017   [17-PP029C]   Violet
DLH,  brown tabby/white,  Female,  Adult
STRAY:
Update: Violet the queen of her domain. She has moved in on the top of the kennels in Room 2 and no other cat can enter. This beautiful kitty would like to be the queen of her own home. She is very beautiful and loving. She also came from a home with dogs, so she may get along with dogs just fine.
[Picture] 4/15/2017   [17-PP024C]   Wildfire
DSH,  silver tabby,  Female spayed,  2 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Arrived as an owner surrender with another kitty, Medusa (aka Melody). Originally named Spitfire, then renamed Saberwolf, we have changed her name once again to Wildfire, after the Michael Martin Murphey song. A very pretty song and a very pretty cat. They were surrendered because of discord in the family. Wildfire was originally adopted from us 2 years ago as a kitten. We always promise to take our pets back if they can not stay in their home, for whatever reason.
[Picture] 4/11/2017   [17-PP021C]   Baloo
DSH,  orange tabby,  Male neutered,  8 Mo
OWNER TURN IN: Baloo arrived along with his pal and housemate Gizmo as an owner surrender: "Moving out of state" was the reason given for surrender. Baloo has the most handsome ginger and orange tabby coat and sports an outstanding tail. Both these kitties are young and playful.
[Picture] 4/5/2017   [17-PP023C]   Penelope
DSH - Calico,  white/tan/black,  Female spayed,  Older Adult
STRAY: transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control
Penelope arrived 04/05/2017 after being picked up as a stray 01/31/2017 by Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control. Sweet Penelope looks as if she has had a tough life. She has no teeth, but can eat just fine. She is scared and shy and not a Spring chicken, but we hope the best for her.
[Picture] 3/9/2017   [17-PP027C]   King Tut
DSH,  gray tabby,  Male neutered,  1 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Originally, arrived as a tiny kittens from a hoarding situation. King Tut is a cute, spunky, healthy gray tabby. He was adopted as a kitten but brought back because his owners were moving. His adopted name was Dobby. We can't say enough good about this delightful cat.
[Picture] 1/28/2017   [17-PP009C]   Neda
DLH,  solid black,  Male neutered,  Young Adult
STRAY: Lost Creek Loop, north of Anaconda
Neda arrived as a stray live trapped in Lost Creek, north of Anaconda. We don't think he is feral, but rather just scared. We actually haven't had him out of his kennel to determine what sex he or she is, or if he or she is altered (we are guessing Neda is a 'he').
[Picture] 1/6/2017   [17-PP003C]   Tinkerbell
DSH - tabby,  silver tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: Lost Creek, north of Anaconda
Tinkerbell was a stray from Lost Creek north of Anaconda. She is a darling little pixie, with a charming personality and enchanting green eyes. Tink is just one of our many wonderful kitties.

[Picture] 12/28/2016   [16-PP129C]   T.C.
DLH - Maine Coon X,  brown tabby/white,  Male neutered,  1 Yr
STRAY:
T.C. (short for tomcat of course) is a beautiful cat with an outstanding tail, and beautiful white paws & a white bib. We don't know much about his background as he was a stray. As most cats new to the shelter are, he is confused as to why he is here. Adoption pending.
[Picture] 12/21/2016   [16-PP127C]   Lola
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: Badger Lane, SW Butte area
Some folks had been feeding Lola as an outside cat for about a year on Badger Lane area (between Beef Trail Road and Little Basin Creek Road). Now, they have to move and were looking for a safe space for Lola. Anyone missing a kitty in that area? Even though her ear is clipped, representing that she was considered feral when she was spayed, Lola is a sweet loving kitty. She is well fed and healthy.
[Picture] 11/19/2016   [16-PP120C]   Niki
DSH - Siamese X,  cream/brown,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY:

[Picture] 11/19/2016   [16-PP119C]   Princess Tiffany
DSH - tabby,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY:
Arrived along with her roommate, Niki. We estimate their ages as about 4 years old. Princess Tiffany is a lovely, quiet kitty who has the wisdom of a few years under her belt, but many, many great years ahead of her.
[Picture] 10/31/2016   [16-PP113C]   Marmalade
DSH,  orange tabby,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
STRAY: 2000 block Haggin Street, Anaconda
Marmalade and her kittens Holly and Honey were found on Haggin Street in Anaconda. Marmalade is a scared little mother kitty right now. Spayed 11/14/2016 so no more worries for her. Our hope for her is a nice quiet home or shop where she can relax and get comfortable.
[Picture] 10/13/2016   [16-PP103C]   Sue
Manx - DSH,  white/grayish brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: Highway 1 West, Anaconda
Sue is a pretty white and grayish-brown tabby and is a tailless (manx) cat. She is scared silly right now but doesn't appear to be feral -- just scared. It was reported by Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control that she was found by the side of the road on Highway 1 West. Who knows how long she had been on her own. She was very thin and scared when found.
[Picture] 8/18/2016   [16-PP090C]   MOMA
DSH,  orange - tabby/white,  Female spayed,  3 Yr
ABANDONED:
MOMA arrived after being left behind by her previous owner. We have no idea why she was abandoned in this way. Her original name was Moma, but we have so many mamas, mommas, moms, etc. that perhaps this pretty kitty could have a name that is an acronym for Most Outrageous Most Attractive (MOMA)kitty, and maybe put an exclamation point in there too - MOMA!
[Picture] 8/12/2016   [16-PP085C]   Gibson
DSH,  dark orange tabby,  Male neutered,  8 wks.
STRAY: Lost Creek, north of Anaconda
Gibson is one of Savannah's 4 kittens. He is the darkest orange of the litter. All are very healthy but they require some socialization before they can become sure that humans are good, or at least that humans won't hurt them.
[Picture] 8/12/2016   [16-PP088C]   Marietta
DSH,  orange/white tabby,  Female spayed,  8 wks
STRAY: Lost Creek, north of Anaconda
Marietta arrived along with 3 siblings and their mother, Savannah. Marietta has a short tail like a manx. The kittens were all a little bit unsocialized upon arrival and need to be tamed down. They are very sweet and healthy though, and given time and love can be nice little companions.
[Picture] 8/12/2016   [16-PP084C]   Savannah
DSH,  white/black/orange calico,  Female spayed,  1-2 yrs.
STRAY: Lost Creek, north of Anaconda
Savannah arrived after being live trapped along with her 4 kittens. She is quite the beauty, but is scared and unsure of why she is with us. She doesn't seem totally unsocialized; maybe she has just been living on her own for a while.
[Picture] 7/25/2016   [16-PP081C]   Lizzy
DMH/Tortoiseshell,  black/orange,  Female spayed,  Young Adult

[Picture] 7/19/2016   [16-PP076C]   Alyssa
Siamese,  flame point/cream,  Female spayed,  1-2 yrs.
STRAY:
Alyssa arrived as a stray from another rescue group. We don't know a lot about her, but she seems sweet and quiet and quite unassuming. She certainly is a beautiful cat. We are estimating her as a fairly young cat.
[Picture] 7/1/2016   [16-PP078C]   Black Jack
DSH,  black,  Male neutered,  5-6 yrs.
STRAY: transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control
What a handsome, big boy Black Jack is! His ear was "tipped" when he was neutered signifying that he was considered feral, but now he is anything but wild. He is a lover not a fighter; he is one cool dude. Totally.
[Picture] 5/16/2016   [16-PP031C]   Licorice
DSH,  black with one white spot,  Male neutered,  Adult
STRAY: Saddle Club, west of Anaconda
Licorice is 99% black with a touch of white on his chest. We were hoping that his owner would swoop in and reclaim him but this nice kitty is still waiting. He is so nice and sweet we hope that he will fly out of the shelter and into a new loving home.
[Picture] 4/19/2016   [16-PP025C]   Diamond
DSH - bicolor,  black/white,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
STRAY:
Diamond hitched a ride with a dog transfer (04/19/2016) to better her life. She is of course, named for the diamond stripe prominent on her nose. Her age is estimated at 2 years old. A pretty cat waiting for a pretty house, where she will be appreciated as a loving sentient being.
[Picture] 2/20/2016   [16-PP015C]   Mittens
DSH,  gray/white bicolor,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Surrendered because of overcrowding in a house with 50-60 cats. Mittens stayed at the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County shelter until Pintler had room to take her in. She is much prettier than these pictures. She had just arrived and was unsure of her place in the shelter and in the world for that matter. She has smooth, rabbit-like soft gray fur with cute white feet and a white chest.
[Picture] 1/11/2016   [16-PP001C]   Valentino
DMH,  white/black bicolor,  Male neutered,  3-4 mos.
STRAY: Job Corps, west of Anaconda
Valentino and Domino, brothers, were caught at the Job Corps site west of Anaconda. They are in foster care where they are learning social skills quickly. They ignore the resident dog and are fine with cats. They are learning the joys of sleeping in the sunshine on a human lap. They may always have a touch of wildness in them but both are starting to purr and they are now sitting in the front of their kennel waiting for attention. Valentino has symmetrical black markings on his face and three cute black polka dots on his flank. In foster care and doing well; call 406-782-8034 for information.

Valentino and Domino, brothers, were caught at the Job Corps site west of Anaconda. They are in foster care where they are learning social skills quickly. They may always have a touch of wildness in them but both are starting to purr and they are now sitting in the front of their kennel waiting for attention. Domino has a rakish black patch over one eye. He also has pretty black markings including a black tail accenting his white fur. In foster care and doing well; call 406-782-8034 for information.
[Picture] 12/31/2015   [15-PP100C]   Jodi
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: Lescantz Lane, Anaconda
Jodi had been trapped as a stray quite a while ago but never got put on our website. Our apologies to Jodi. Here she is in all her glory but without her teeth that had to be pulled because of a common disease. She was scared when she first arrived but is now quite accepting of loving and petting. Her gorgeous green eyes and sleek coat are her finest attributes.
[Picture] 12/22/2015   [15-PP102C]   Blixen
DLH,  black solid,  Male neutered,  Adult
ABANDONED:
Blixen arrived after he was found outside our shelter building; we are assuming abandoned just before Christmas of 2015. He tends to be a shy boy, but who knows? Maybe he would bloom in just the right house.
[Picture] 11/22/2015   [15-PP086C]   Kris Kringle
DLH,  black,  Male neutered,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Kris arrived from an overcrowded house. As a result, he needs TLC to look his best after living in filthy conditions. He will be a wonderful long-haired cat after he gets good food and a clean environment.
[Picture] 11/22/2015   [15-PP057C]   Lunar
DSH,  gray/white/cream tabby,  Male neutered,  12-14 weeks
OWNER TURN IN: Lunar arrived when his owner could no longer care for him; he came from a house with 45 cats. He is a darling kitty who will probably never get very large. This petite boy is very outgoing and has a unique look about him.
[Picture] 11/22/2015   [15-PP108C]   Gracey
DSH/Russian Blue X,  light gray,  Female spayed,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Gracey was surrendered in November 2015 from the hoarding situation but was held at Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control until 02/19/2016. She is a sweet, loving, beautiful Russian blue x kitty; one of many that we got from this house in Opportunity.
[Picture] 11/22/2015   [15-PP090C]   Flame
Siamese X,  flame point,  Male neutered,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Flame came from a house with too many cats. There were more than 50, maybe 60, cats living in squalid conditions. Flame is a bit shy, but who can blame him? He has beautiful blue eyes and pretty orange fur but needs a bit of time and attention to bloom.
[Picture] 11/22/2015   [15-PP091C]   Sky
DSH,  black,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Sky came from a house with too many cats. There were more than 50, possibly 60, cats living in squalid conditions. Sky is a bit shy like many of the cats but just needs a little time and loving to bloom. She has pretty green eyes and soft, sleek black fur.
[Picture] 11/22/2015   [15-PP097C]   Saki
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Saki arrived from a house overcrowded with cats. She is shy and would possibly be best as a barn or shop cat where she could do her own thing.
[Picture] 11/19/2015   [15-PP106C]   Tiny
DSH,  solid black,  Female spayed,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Even though Tiny looks like a kitten or teenager, she is a fully grown cat. Her age was estimated at 5 years old upon arrival. She came from an overcrowded house with way too many roommates.
[Picture] 10/27/2015   [15-PP052C]   Tally aka Tal bug
DSH - torbie,  brown tabby/orange,  Female spayed,  4 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Tally is a nice young kitty who is with us because her owner was moving and she couldn't go along. She has classic tabby; a bold swirling pattern much like a marble cake with just a hint of orange. She gets along with the kitties here at the shelter and seems OK with dogs as long as they are OK with her. She is a staff favorite and is very loving and outgoing, but not obnoxious. Update: Tally Bug had 4 precious kittens born April 13th. They have all found new homes and now it is Tally's turn! Out on a test purr.
[Picture] 8/24/2015   [15-PP037C]   Sweet Pea
DMH,  white/black bicolor,  Female spayed,  7-8 mos.
OWNER TURN IN: Arrived along with the other cats in the household after their owner died and there was no one to take them in. Sweet Pea is good with other cats as she has lived with them. She may get along with dogs although she has never lived with a dog. She is quite shy and needs time to acclimate to a new household.
[Picture] 8/19/2015   [15-PP034C]   Joey
DSH,  black/green eyes,  Male neutered,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Arrived 08/19/2015 along with his 2 other housemates when their owner died and there was no one to take them in. There were 5 cats in all left homeless after their owner's death. Joey is afflicted with seizures, but he has only had one, and that was when he first arrived. He is sweet, and large and handsome, but is overwhelmed in this new and strange place.
[Picture] 6/6/2015   [15-PP020C]   Heinz
DSH/Russian Blue X,  blue gray,  Male neutered,  4-5 yrs.
STRAY:
Entered into our database 06/06/2015 but probably came to the shelter before that. Heinz is a beautiful example of Russian blue cross kitty. He is a bit scared but would make a great mouser. We have no idea where he came from, or what his original name was, but here he is in all his glory.
[Picture] 5/22/2015   [15-PP015C]   Morgan
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: Lascantz Lane

[Picture] 5/22/2015   [15-PP016C]   Blair

STRAY: Transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control

[Picture] 5/22/2015   [15-PP014C]   Maye
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
STRAY:

[Picture] 2/20/2015   [15-PP010C]   Aurora
DSH,  ginger orange tabby,  Female spayed,  2-3 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: Aurora is very shy and needs a quiet home. She makes up for her shyness by being a beautiful, loving kitty.
[Picture] 1/30/2015   [13-PP011C]   Niles
DSH,  brown tabby,  Male neutered,  3-5 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: Trapped at a residence where the cat population was allowed to reproduce. These kitties all look very similar and are quite shy. They are looking for positions as mousers or shop cats. Maybe a lucky one can even be tamed down to be a lap cat. Nala (now known as Niles) is a large, short-haired brown tabby. Update: Niles has tamed down wonderfully and is always out and about at the shelter.
[Picture] 12/27/2014   [14-PP089C]   Daisy
DSH,  white/brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Arrived 12/12/2014 as a stray (along with Winter) in Lost Creek. Transferred to us at Pintler Pets from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control on 12/27/2104. These two cats could have stayed but the ranch owner was afraid that they weren't spayed (and they weren't) and besides they didn't get along with the resident cats. These poor abandoned cats were obviously tame, owned cats at one time. They were a bit unsure of themselves upon first arrival, but are warming up quickly.
[Picture] 12/15/2014   [14-PP085C]   Cheyenne
DSH/Tortoiseshell/,  gray/cream/white,  Female spayed,  4-5 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: Cheyenne is one of 3 cats (with Jingles and Rosebud) surrendered because a person had "too many cats" in her house. Cheyene is a manx but has a stub of a tail rather than being tailless. Her colors are just gorgeous and she is a nice kitty to boot.
[Picture] 8/13/2014   [14-PP049C]   Tigger

[Picture] 7/25/2014   [14-PP045C]   Pickles
DSH - tuxedo,  black/white,  Male neutered,  Young Adult
STRAY:
First found by animal control, 06/08/2014. Stray, semi-feral. We have no other information on him except he is very handsome! He was already neutered when he came to us, so someone must have cared about him at one time.
[Picture] 4/8/2014   [14-PP034C]   Oliver
DSH - bicolor,  brown tabby/white,  Male neutered,  2.5 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: G.G. and Oliver were adopted together in 2012 and have now come back to us together. They are sweet kitties that are quiet and are quite loving. They were about 5 months old when adopted in 2012 so that makes them about 2.5 years old. Oliver has a fabulous white bib and large expressive eyes.
[Picture] 4/8/2014   [14-PP029C]   Charlie
DMH,  orange tabby,  Male neutered,  Young Adult
STRAY: 400 block of East 4th Street, Anaconda
What a sweetheart Charlie is. He is quiet and loving, and just wants to fly out of the shelter. His outstanding gold eyes match is gold coat and outstanding fluffy tail. In foster care.

Gillian was found as a stray in January and was just recently transferred to Pintler Pets from the county shelter. He is just a sweet gentle soul looking for a like soul.
[Picture] 3/28/2014   [14-PP022C]   Tommy
DSH - bicolor,  white/brown tabby,  Male neutered,  1 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Tommy came from a ranch that turned in several cats. His personality has yet to emerge in a big way, but he has great potential.
[Picture] 2/13/2014   [14-PP010C]   Christian Fred
DLH,  pale orange/white,  Male neutered,  4 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Christian Ferd was rescued in 2009 as a small kitten of a feral Mom. He is used to being inside and sometimes outside. He is sweet and loyal, and loves to stretch out and lounge. He is the strong, handsome, quiet-type kitty so be sure to ask for him; he just may be sleeping in a quiet place.
[Picture] 10/30/2013   [13-PP126C]   Bandit
DSH,  yellow tabby / white,  Male neutered,  6 Mo
STRAY:
transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control Public Notes: Bandit had a rather rough start in life and was under the weather when he arrived as a stray in very cold temperatures. He will probably never be a big, macho-type kitty. Bandit will steal your heart with his kittenish antics.
[Picture] 10/10/2013   [13-PP096C]   Aura
DSH,  black,  Female spayed,  3-4 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: Aura is a lovely sleek-coated black kitty with drop-dead gorgeous green eyes. She is very friendly, especially for having just arrived at the shelter. She was transferred to Pintler Pets because her former owners were moving to Washington State.
[Picture] 6/25/2013   [09-PP127C]   Susan
DSH,  black with dispersed white hairs,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: trapped on Fourth Street, Anaconda
Arrived 06/25/2009; trapped on Fourth Street as a stray. Originally considered a stray or feral, Susan was obviously misunderstood. She stands on her head to get your attention and a few pats. Being one of our plain black cats, she has to do a few gyrations to get attention. What a wonderful, loving soul.
[Picture] 4/17/2013   [13-PP023C]   Boots
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Beautiful Boots was found with another cat and is listed as a stray but may have been abandoned. We recognize her from somewhere. She is very shy right now at the shelter, but not mean at all. She is gorgeous and healthy, but would do best if she could find a home sooner than later! Like most of our cats!
[Picture] 2/1/2013   [13-PP031C]   Happy Cat
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: Lescantz Lane, Anaconda
You can tell by her expression that we were being facetious when we named Happy Cat; she is a bit cranky. She would be happy as a mouser in a shop or barn. She was caught as a stray and the people who owned the land where she was living didn't want her or her friends back.
[Picture] 1/30/2013   [13-PP012C]   Soto
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
STRAY: Lescantz Lane, Anaconda
Trapped at a residence where the cat population was allowed to reproduce. These kitties all look very similar and are quite shy. They are looking for positions as mousers or shop cats. Maybe a lucky one can even be tamed down to be a lap cat. Soto has beautiful wide, black and brown, true tabby stripes.
[Picture] 12/21/2012   [12-PP113C]   Piper
DSH,  black/white tuxedo,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: Anaconda
Piper looks a little concerned here because she had just arrived at the shelter. She has pretty little white feet and a white bib. Update: In foster care and still adoptable. She is doing wonderfully.
[Picture] 12/13/2012   [12-PP109C]   Taz
DSH,  brown tabby/white spot,  Male neutered,  1 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: An owner surrender because of a son's allergies. Taz came in with Tiger, and we are thinking that they are siblings to Laura and Fuzz. Taz is a very large and talkative kitty, with a darling white spot on his chest. Out on a test purr.
[Picture] 11/6/2012   [12-PP102C]   Squiggles
DLH,  black/white,  Female spayed,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Arrived after being trapped at a home in Opportunity where the elderly owners could no longer care for them. Squiggles is in foster care.

[Picture] 6/19/2011   [11-PP040C]   Vanessa
DSH,  brown tabby/white bicolor,  Female spayed,  1 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Vanessa is very upset at being in the shelter situation. She hides in her kennel most of the time. She would prefer a quiet, patient home and one with no dogs, and probably no young children.
[Picture] 5/14/2011   [11-PP031C]   Drake
DSH,  gray/white,  Male neutered,  Adult
OWNER TURN IN: From a house in Opportunity where they had too many cats. Drake would make a fantastic mouser.
[Picture] 9/16/2010   [10-PP078C]   Gilmore
DSH,  black/white,  Female spayed,  Adult
STRAY: transferred from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control

[Picture] 8/10/2010   [10-PP0073C]   Tasha
DSH,  brown tabby,  Female spayed,  1 Yr
STRAY: Found in a woodpile on Fairview in Anaconda
Tasha is an underdog. She is adult, is quite shy, and is a plain brown tabby. Of course, she is just as good as any other cat, she just needs to find the family to admire her personality for what she is. The shelter is a tough place to show what 'ya got.
[Picture] 1/12/2010   [10-PP003C]   Diggs
DSH,  brown tabby/white,  Female spayed,  Young Adult
STRAY:
Dobie and Diggs are siblings, and are quite scared to leave the Big Hole Valley to relocate to the town of Anaconda. They may tame down or they may be happier being mousers. Stay tuned. Update: Here is a new picture of Diggs as of 02/2015. She is a beautiful healthy kitty who unfortunately has grown up in our shelter.
[Picture] 9/11/2007   [07-PP200C]   Kitty Mau Mau
