6/18/2009 [09-PP040C] Paco
DLH, gray/white, Male neutered, 8 weeks
OWNER TURN IN: Paco arrived with another cat (Angie) and a dog, so he probably would get along with everybody and everything. He is a tiny mite who likes to play with the other kittens in their cage.
6/13/2009 [09-PP037C] Babb
DSH, black, Female spayed, 4 months
OWNER TURN IN: Babb is a bit shy; she is a sibling of Black Bart and Bonita. These kittens need just a little love and affection to turn them into great cats.
6/13/2009 [09-PP036C] Bonita
DSH, blue gray, Female spayed, 10 Mo
OWNER TURN IN: Bonita is a beautiful soft gray kitty. She is a bit shy but young enough to overcome that. Sheis actually the most outgoing of this group. They were rescued when they were in danger of being "downsized".
6/13/2009 [09-PP035C] Black Bart
DMH, black/white, Male neutered, 10 Mo
OWNER TURN IN: Black Bart, Babb and Bonita were all rescued from a ranch where cat population control is nonexistent. They are a bit shy still but with lots of love that will go away.
6/5/2009 [09-PP032C] Pacino
DSH, brown tabby/white, Male neutered, 4 weeks
STRAY: Birch St., Anacanda
Pacino and DeNiro are just two of the sweetest and cutest kittens ever (trust me). They arrived as strays/feral, but are in foster care to be socialized and to get to an adoptable age. They will be ready for their new homes about the first week of July. Adooption pending.
6/3/2009 [09-PP033C] Brandon
DSH, gray tabby, Male neutered, 6 weeks
STRAY:
Found beneath a freezer in Butte, Brandon was probably being moved by his mother. He is in foster care, and a photo will be forthcoming as soon as he is a little older.
5/16/2009 [09-PP028C] Bagheera
Russian Blue, silver blue, Male neutered, Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Bagheera seems to have a "cattitude"; he sometimes does not want to be messed with. He would prefer to just hang out and be incredibly handsome. He needs a home where he can do just that. Other than sometimes taking a quick nip, he is a great kitty. He lives up to his namesake and is very panther-like.
5/12/2009 [09-PP029C] Copper
DSH, orange/white, Female, Adult
STRAY: transferred from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control
Copper is very shy at present and just hides her head in her cage. With time, she will no doubt get used to the shelter, but better yet maybe she will find a great home.
5/11/2009 [09-PP039C] Maurice
DSH, white/brown tabby, Male neutered, 8 Mo
STRAY: transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control
Maurice is a great boy who loves to be out and about. Out on a test purr.
5/5/2009 [09-PP038C] Pepper
DSH, black/white tuxedo, Female spayed, 4 months

4/19/2009 [09-PP030C] Blanche
DSH, plain black, Female spayed, Adult
STRAY: found in a yard in Anaconda
Blanche is a friendly sort, who suffers from the "plain black cat" syndrome. She sings: I'm a good cat, mama; I don't need no new pair of shoes. I'm a good cat, mama; I just got the "plain black cat" blues.
3/14/2009 [09-PP012C] Starky
DLH - Maine Coon X, sable/black, Female spayed, Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Owner surrendered along with Mischief, Spaetzle, Tinkerbell and her three kittens. The cats' owner did not want them anymore. Starkey is a fabulously beautiful, very long haired cat with wide black stripes on a sable coat. She and all these cats are very beautiful and loving.
3/14/2009 [09-PP013C] Mischief
DLH, gray tabby, Female spayed, Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Owner surrender along with Starkey, Spaetzle, Tinkerbell and her three kittens. The cats' owner did not want them anymore. Mischief (or is that Miss Chief?) is maybe a little mischievous, but is mainly a very beautiful, loving kitty. She and all these cats are very beautiful and loving. Mischief does have a distinctive, 4-inch tail; not quite a manx.
3/3/2009 [09-PP021C] Brie
DSH, white/black/gold calico, Female spayed, Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Brie was with us once before, was adopted, but the resident cats didn't care for another house guest. Brie is a fabulously beautiful kitty and was made to be a lap cat. As they say in the real estate market "must be seen to be appreciated".
2/28/2009 [09-PP010C] Lucy
DLH, gray/white, Female spayed, 3 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Lucy's owner moved and she was given to another family but their 17-year old resident cat objected and so here she is at Pintler. Lucy is a stunning, solid, beautiful kitty with white accents to her steel gray coat.
1/9/2009 [09-PP006C] Kasi
DSH, black/peach tortoiseshell, Female spayed, Adult
ABANDONED:
Kasi was left in an outside kennel at the shelter. After abandoning her, her owner called to tell us she could no longer keep her. Kasi is a nice kitty who deserves a better life than she has had. Out on a test drive with Bagheera.
1/9/2009 [09-PP003C] Midnight Capri
DSH, black, Female spayed, 8 Mo

1/2/2009 [09-PP001C] Potter
DSH, black/orange tortoiseshell; declawed, Female spayed, Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Potter was a transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge animal control where she was originally an owner surrender. Right now she is terribly traumatized by being in a shelter. Hopefully, we can win her over. She is such a pretty cat with her big round eyes.

Rudy is a bit on the shy side so he needs someone to kiss him, and love him and squeeze him, and to feed him good food. He is a darling with an unusual rabbit-like fur.
11/30/2008 [08-PP145C] Shadow
DSH, brown tabby, Male neutered, 2 Yr
STRAY: transfer from Anaconda-Deer Lodge animal control
Shadow is patiently waiting to be discovered as a great cat. He is just one of our wonderful brown tabbies. You can spend all sort of hours petting him and admiring his great tabby markings. This "tabby inspection" may be a hobby you may want to take up this winter, with or without a cup of coffee and Irish Cream.
11/13/2008 [08-PP132C] Pearl
DSH, black w/little white on belly, Female spayed, 5 Mo
OWNER TURN IN: Arrived 11/13/08; owner surrender. About 5 months old. Pearl was left behind when her young owner left town on a bus and she couldn't go along. It certainly is a cruel world. Black cats are so over-looked, Pearl is hoping her outgoing nature will attract a new and permanent owner. Remember a black pearl is the rarest of gems.

DSH, brown tabby, Female spayed, Adult

10/12/2008 [08-PP112C] Sidney
DLH, black, Male neutered, Adult
STRAY:
Sidney is a transfer from the local animal control shelter because of overcrowding there. He is a beautiful, calm kitty who evidently had a home (and someone who cared about him) at one time since he is already neutered.
9/29/2008 [08-PP148C] Bonkers
DSH, black/orange tortoiseshell, Female spayed, 3-4 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: Bonkers was left behind when her owners moved to Canada. Why... I thought cats were allowed in Canada? Bonkers is a fabulous, very classy cat who deserves the best that America has to offer. She is declawed.

9/1/2008 [08-PP106C] Holmes
DSH, black, Male neutered, Adult
ABANDONED: found outside of Pintler Pets
We think that Holmes was abandoned by two men who tried to surrender him earlier and who didn't want to pay an owner surrender fee/donation. He was found outside the building. He is a mellow, very big male kitty.
8/31/2008 [08-PP102C] Bunny
DMH, gray/white declawed, Female spayed, 3 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Bunny, Bugs, and Baby were all surrendered because their owner could no longer care for them. Bunny is very large for a female and is ultra-sweet. She has been shaved down because of mats and is not too fond of being brushed. She is timid and would do well in a quiet home. In a foster home.
8/29/2008 [08-PP094C] Oliver
DSH, brown tabby, Male neutered, Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Oliver was surrendered by his owners because he was the kids' cat, and when the kids moved out, the cats were downsized. Obviously, there is nothing wrong with Ollie; he is a sweetheart.
8/29/2008 [08-PP092C] Lucy Sparkle
Siamese X - flame point, light orange, Female spayed, Adult

She is quiet and is happy hanging out in her kennel observing the other cats. She has beautiful blue eyes and pretty light tan fur. Ah Gigi, you funny little good for loving (not for nothing), Gigi.
8/2/2008 [08-PP088C] Kasey
DLH, buff; declawed, Male neutered, 1 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Kasey is a handsome boy who is not thrilled with dogs in his household. Maybe he and the right dog would get along but he didn't like the one in his last house. He has a certain charm about him none the less. A nice quiet house would do him just fine, thank you.

7/28/2007 [07-PP109C] Copper
DMH, buff, Male neutered, 3 Yr
STRAY: Front Street, Anaconda
Copper's name should actually, more accurately, be Professor Marvel. He has a great presence, is a showman and has handlebar whiskers just like the character in the Wizard of Oz. Even though he was hanging out with the lady cats on Front Street, he is not a bit wild and, as soon as he is neutered, will make a great companion.

STRAY: Front St.
Comet was trapped at a cat colony when he was just 6 to 8 weeks old. He has grown up at the shelter and is not totally at ease with humans. Perhaps, in a home he would learn to trust his family. He certainly is a pretty cat with his flamepoint coloring and pale blue eyes.

7/16/2007 [07-PP099C] Cosmo
DLH, brown tabby, Male neutered, 2 Yr
STRAY: Front St., Anaconda
Cosmo was trapped in a live trap at a cat colony we are trying to trap-neuter-release, or in Cosmo's case, tame him enough to be a house cat. When trapped he was about 6-8 weeks. he is just such a little fluff ball and a sweetie, but just scared which is understandable. Other young kittens we have trapped in this area have gone on to be beautiful tame cats.
6/18/2007 [07-PP096C] Smokey
DSH, white with gray spots, Female spayed, 2 Yr
STRAY:
Transfer from the Dedman Foundation in Fort Benton. Originally brought in 01/08/06 at 6 months old as a feral kitten. 6/11/2007 [07-PP088C] Spencer
DMH, orange/white, Male neutered, 2 Yr
ABANDONED: Front doorstep of Pintler Pets
Spencer and three other cats were put in two cardboard boxes and the boxes were taped shut. Someone left them on Pintler's doorstep in the middle of a rainy night where a shelter worker found them in the morning. A note said "please take good care of our cats". They arrived with ear mites and tape worms (all gone now), so obviously the people that left them couldn't take care of them properly. Too bad they felt that they had to abandon them in the manner that they did. The cats are a bit traumatized right now, but they will come around with time and love.
Spencer has a slight eye infection that would clear up a lot quicker in a quiet home where he would get individual attention. He is traumatized at the shelter but is such s sweet kitty. We are looking for someone's sympathy vote for Spencer; someone who wants to mother him back to health and well-being. He really is a sweet cat who will repay you by blooming where ever he is planted.
6/11/2007 [07-PP074C] Carly
DSH, gray/white, Female spayed, 2 Yr
ABANDONED:
Carly and three other cats were found when we came to open the shelter one rainy morning. Someone had taped two boxes closed with two adult cats in each box. They left a note asking us to take care of their cats, since they couldn't. Carly is the most outgoing one and is very beautiful. After being treated for ear mites and tapeworms initially, she is looking better than ever. Her colors are beautiful.

3/5/2007 [07-PP033C] Spatz
DSH, brown tabby, Female spayed, 2 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Spatz originally came in with the name "Spaz", but never has there been a more inappropriate name. She is a beautiful, sleek, regal kitty; the epitome of grace. Perhaps her new owner should remname her "Bastet" after the Egyptian cat goddess. She is quite and reserved and anxiously awaits "Ra" the sun god in the morning light. She has always been an indorr kitty. Her owner moved to a "no pets" apartment. In foster care, please call the shelter if you are interested.
3/5/2007 [07-PP047C] Nadine
DSH, brown tabby, Female spayed, Adult

3/1/2007 [07-PP031C] Maggie May
DSH, black, Female spayed, 8 yrs.
OWNER TURN IN: Maggie May loves to observe our cat room from her little boudoir in the cat tree. She is rather reserved at present because she is new here, but she loves to have someone visit and pay her some attention. At six years old, she is in the prime of her life. Reason for owner surrender "don't want anymore".
12/14/2006 [06-PP223C] Big D
DLH, black; declawed, Male neutered, Adult
STRAY:
Big D was caught in a live trap with another full sized cat. They must have been very hungry to go in together. We are still trying to make friends with Big D, but he will relax with time. Update: Big D was so cranky when he came in that we couldn't tell if he had been neutered or not. Now that he has settled down, we found out not only is he already neutered, but he is also declawed!

3/6/2006 [06-PP037C] Cher
DSH, black, Female spayed, Young Adult
OWNER TURN IN: Cher and her 8 little carbon copies were surrendered by their owner when the kittens were 3-weeks old. We love all of these wonderful kitties (all black!) but boy do we wish Cher had been spayed before this happened. Cher has been a wonderful Mom and deserves to settle into a home of her own. She is loving but is very polite and unobtrusive. All will have to be spayed and neutered before they leave us so this doesn't happen again! Cher's spay was sponsored by her Guardian Angel.
