He has learned some hand signals like when to sit and where to come to and where to go.. He loves treats and is great on a leash. He likes to be held on your lap and is content to sit beside you in a chair. Wiley has been a little neglected for quite some time but he still wants to be the center of someones attention. OWNER TURN IN: Woody is a GREAT dog. He is almost perfect. He wants to be part of a family. He walks great on a leash, kows all of his basic obedience. Love to play fetch and go swimming and if they can be done together all the better. He is a great older dog that just wants to be with you, go where you go, play when you play, and sleep when you sleep. We just love him here at the Shelter.

She would like a home where she can be the only pet. We are hoping to find an owner that possibly lives in an apartment and wants a dog to walk with several times a day.

OWNER TURN IN: This little girl would benefit from some TLC! She showed up at a home with other dogs, very thin , covered with ticks and fleas and very frightened. But even then she was gentle and kind. She walks good on a leash but we think that she needs some training. We like her a lot!

He loves all people, especially kids, and does great with other dogs. However, he does not care for cats at all. Thor is a go with the flow kind of dog, and is looking for a new home to kick back in.

OWNER TURN IN: Sophie is fun! She has a cute little stub tail that is always wagging. She is very well house trained, crate trained, and obedience trained. She does great with all other pets, and loves people too. She bonds really well to anyone who gives her special attention, and would make a very loyal dog. Sophie is also a swimming fanatic. She loves to retrieve balls, sticks, or whatever out of the water. She likes to play fetch anywhere and anytime, but the water is the best. She comes back when she's called, and would make a great hiking and camping type dog.

She is a great dog for anyone looking for great new friend.

OWNER TURN IN: Ruby is a phenominal duck dog!! She eats, breaths, and lives hunting. She is housebroke, crate trained, and walks on a leash. Ruby was raised with small children, and is great with them. However, she is not good with cats or livestock. She knows basic obedience, but could use a refresher course. Ruby will need a home where she is kept in a fenced yard or a kennel, and not allowed to run loose. If you are looking for a great hunting dog, come and check out Ruby.

OWNER TURN IN: Scotch is such a sweet dog! He is very loving and affectionate. He walks fine on a leash, and knows how to sit, lay down, and shake hands on command. He is also house broke. He loves everyone, people, kids, and pets. Scotch will need a home with lots of active type exercise, like hiking, jogging, or agility classes. Adoption pending.

OWNER TURN IN: Sissy is one of the nicest dogs ever. She loves all people, and especially adores kids. She is great with other pets, and is very well house broke and crate trained. She walks well on a leash, and knows all of her obedience. Her only problem is that she has seizures, and needs to take medication for it. The meds are very inexpensive, about $3.00 a month, and it keeps her from having the seizures. Sissy is such a great dog, we are all hoping for a great home.

OWNER TURN IN: Annie is an awesome dog! She is very well housebroke, crate-trained, and polite. She walks great on a leash, and knows her voice commands very well (sit, come, down, stay, shake hands). She gets along with male dogs, as long as they are the same size as her, but does not do well with small dogs or cats( she is a type of hunting dog used to hunt small, furry creatures, and this is just instinctive). Annie loves older kids, about 10 and up, but is not great with anyone younger. She is very trustworthy off of the leash, and would great for hiking and other outdoor activities. Annie has all the love in the world to give to her family, so if you are looking to have one dog, and no other pets, Annie would love to be yours forever. Out on a test drive.

OWNER TURN IN: Angel is a shelter favorite. This beautiful girl loves everyone, and knows that everyone loves her right back. OWNER TURN IN: Sage came in last week very shy, but has blossomed into one of the nicest and friendliest dogs ever. She is a very sweet dog, good with all pets and loves all people. Sage is also housebroke, and she knows how to use a doggie door. She needs a home with a few acres, but she would make a great walking partner, as well as a trail dog, agility dog, 4-H dog, or loving member of your family.

Francie is just sure that she is a beautiful dog, and can you blame her? This fuzzy faced pup is fun. She love attention and treats, is housebroke and uses a doggie door, and is learning obediance and leashwalking. Francie likes toys, and thinks kids are great. She will make a wonderful pet for anyone, so if you are looking for a fun dog to brighten your day, Francie is the one.

Karey has been at the shelter since she was a little puppy, and so is kind of shy. We have recently learned, thanks to a nice foster family, that Karey is one of the most loving and loyal dogs that we have. She walks very well on a leash, is housetrained, rides well in the car, and knows her voice commands. She is very good with all dogs, does great around cats, and can be trusted with horses. She likes all people, including children. She comes back when called, and loves to go for walks and hikes. She would be a perfect companion dog for anyone looking for a new best friend or someone to follow them everywhere.
