[Picture] 12/6/2009   [09-018]   Mike
DSH,  white/orange,  Male neutered,  2 Yr
ABANDONED:
Mikie is a happy, playful cat who loves to socialize. He likes other cats and does very well with gentle, cat-friendly dogs. He is a healthy boy and up to date on his vaccinations. He would be a great addition to an active home with lots to do and people to love. Mikie prefers being an indoor cat because he had a rough time when he was abandoned trying to find food, shelter, and trying to escape danger. He's all healed from an abscess where he was bitten, but even with all he's been through his cheery attitude still shines brightly.
[Picture] 9/4/2009   [09-0016]   Omni
DSH,  gray tiger tabby,  Male neutered,  4 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Omni is a sweetheart. He and Sedrick have lived as best friends with a family who cares for special needs foster children. After a child arrived who was allergic to cats Omni, Sedrick had to go. Omni is very loving and wonderful with children and other cats, and may do well with a gentle dog. Omni is declawed and needs to be an indoor only cat.
[Picture] 9/4/2009   [09-0015]   Faith
DLH,  gray tabby,  Female spayed,  2 Yr
ABANDONED:
Faith is a sweet, gentle feline, loves to cuddle. She has the most affectionate personality. It's hard to believe that her people abandoned her. We named her Faith because she has not lost her faith in people and continues to shower affection on all those around her. Faith has been declawed and definitely needs to be an indoor only cat! She gets on well with other cats and may do well with gentle, cat-friendly dogs. She's in good health and up to date on vaccinations.
[Picture] 5/10/2009   [09-0003]   Jewels
Manx Tabby,  gray/black,  Female spayed,  2 Yr
ABANDONED:
I know I was loved as a kitten because my owners had me spayed. Then, somehow, we got separated. I wandered for months and was chased and abused by people and animals. This is why I flinch and tuck my ears back when someone reaches for me. I bite, sometimes without warning, when I am petted too long or hard. I have learned to trust and enjoy the people (and many of the cats) at the Spay & Neuter Clinic and think I'm ready for a real, forever home now. I would prefer a quiet home without children where I will feel safe. Then I will be able to be my curious and playful self. I like to be talked to and petted, but please move slowly and don't pick me up until I am comfortable in your home and with you.
[Picture] 3/10/2006   [06-037]   Pacer
DLH,  gray/white,  Male neutered,  3-4 yrs.
ABANDONED:
Pacer got his name because when he first came to us he paced back and forth and was not friendly. In the short time he's been with us he's become calm and interested in being friends with people. Now, he is playful and with people he knows he enjoys being petted and even brushed! And he adores catnip. This guy has come a long way in a short time and should have a real home.
[Picture] 3/10/2006   [06-034]   Simba
DSH/Siamese X,  cream/brown/gray,  Male neutered,  4 Yr
ABANDONED:
Simba has lovely blue eyes and he watches the volunteers closely when it's treat time to make sure they don't forget him. Simba came to us with very little human contact and is very shy about being touched. He enjoys attention at a distance. He would do well in a barn home.
[Picture] 3/10/2006   [06-032]   Buttercup
DSH,  orange tabby,  Male neutered,  4 Yr
ABANDONED:
Buttercup is a handsome, friendly boy and likes other cats. He is nervous around small children and needs a quiet, adult home. Because he's so non-aggressive he seldom gets special attention with the other cats around. He needs his very own family.
[Picture] 3/10/2006   [06-031]   Candy
DSH,  orange/white,  Female spayed,  3 Yr
ABANDONED:
Candy was abandoned and came to us terrified of people. She has become calmer around people but still watches the action from high on a shelf where she hangs out much of the time. Our volunteers can gently touch her when they give her a canned food treat. If someone were willing to work with her, she would eventually bloom into a trusting cat otherwise she is destined to be a barn cat.
[Picture] 3/10/2006   [06-029]   Nolla
DSH,  white/gray tabby,  Male neutered,  4 Yr
OWNER TURN IN: Nolla tries to be aloof but likes petting too much to hold out, and loves to be brushed. His beautiful blue eyes watch everything that's going on. He is very calm and would do well as an indoor/outdoor cat.
[Picture] 1/5/2006   [06-017]   Penny Lane
DSH,  white/gray tabby,  Female spayed,  3 Yr
ABANDONED:
Penny Lane is a nice girl and although she likes to be with people and other cats she's reserved, preferring to watch from the sidelines. She was abandoned along with 30 other cats in the dead of winter when people moved leaving them to fend for themselves. She has a short, bobbed tail just like many others in her family group. She could be an indoor/outdoor kitty, although I doubt she could be enticed outside in the winter.
